Blackstar

So I am so happy that Madonna has decided (so far) decided to name her new album simply and wonderfully, "Blackstar".

After 25 years in the biz this bitch still has it. I remember when I was like 9 years old and my mom had the "True Blue" TAPE. On our way to Price Chopper, me, my mom and my sisters would be-bop to True Blue, Jimmy Jimmy, Open Your Heart, Papa Don't Preach...

Blackstar is a great title for her 11th album. Should be out April 2008. OmG 2008. that's the effing future.

Why I Don't Think I Like DC...

The city is asleep at 10pm as far as restaurants.

The bars close at 1 on weeknights, 2 on weekends, maybe 3..

Getting mugged at gunpoint or by beating is a common occurence.

Gay bashings happen all the time. Most recently a co-worker of mine.

There are no grocery stores in DC except for the "Soviet" Safeway - where its literaly 45 minutes long to wait in line for the cash register and there is usually nothing on the shelves....or you have Whole Foods, which is so crowded you can't move and you can't get any of the food essentials that most people need...I'm sorry if I can't get Diet Coke at a freaking super market.

You can't buy beer anywhere. You have like a tiny period of time in the day to purchase booze. There are no bodegas like in NYC. WTF.

Anyway, so I'm not feeling it...I mean this is a metropolitan city, the capital of our country.

It's lame.

I'm Still Here

I'm Sorry. I'm Sorry. I'm Sorry. Things have been INSANE lately. I can't even tell you. Not only did my computer get destroyed but so did Britney's career. That's big. Life altering.

Ok. So all in this blog lapse, I got a J.O.B at HRC and got yelled at by my first tranny today because of ENDA. Which I finally remember stands for the Employee Non-Discrimination Act.

Ugh. So much to talk about but let me leave you with this....I need a Halloween costume...what do you think about this... a duo perhaps...
